Frameless glass pool fencing in Auckland
Compliant pool barriers that keep the view and keep tamariki safe.
Glass pool fencing keeps the people you love safe while keeping the pool the centrepiece of the yard. There is no chain-link between you and the water, just clear toughened glass and slim fixings. Every barrier we install is built to satisfy the New Zealand rules for residential pools, so it passes inspection and stays that way.

Frameless pool fencing
Full-height 12mm toughened panels on discreet spigots. The clearest, most seamless barrier, and the one most owners picture when they think glass pool fence.
Semi-frameless pool fencing
Panels between slimline posts. A compliant, tidy barrier at a friendlier price, ideal for longer runs and new builds.
Compliant glass gates
Self-closing, self-latching gates with the latch positioned and shielded to meet the rules, so the barrier is never the weak point.

We fix cleanly into new or existing timber, composite and concrete, and coordinate with your decking so the finish is seamless.

Done to the standard, not around it.
Residential pool barriers in New Zealand are governed by the Building Act 2004 and Building Code Clause F9 (Restricting access to residential pools), which since 2017 replaced the old Fencing of Swimming Pools Act. The referenced standard for safety barriers is NZS 8500.
In practice that means a barrier at least 1200mm high, gaps no greater than 100mm, no climbable objects within the barrier zone, and a gate that is self-closing and self-latching with the latch out of a child's reach. Auckland Council also inspects pools on a regular cycle. We build every fence and gate to meet these requirements and can provide the producer statements your Code Compliance Certificate may need.
This is a general overview, current at the time of writing. Pool rules are strict and specific, so always confirm the requirements for your property with Auckland Council.

Questions about glass pool fencing & decking
Still unsure about anything? Get in touch and we will talk it through.
How high does a glass pool fence have to be in NZ?
At least 1200mm from the ground on the outside of the barrier, with no gaps larger than 100mm and no climbable objects in the zone next to it. We set every panel and gate to meet these rules.
Do I need consent and an inspection?
Pool barriers require building consent and Auckland Council inspects residential pools on a regular cycle. We install to the F9 requirements and supply producer statements so your fence signs off cleanly.
Does a spa pool need fencing?
Often, yes. Some spa pools with a compliant lockable cover are treated differently, but many still need a barrier. We can advise what applies to your spa on the day.
Frameless or semi-frameless for a pool?
Frameless gives the clearest, most seamless look and semi-frameless is compliant and easier on the budget over long runs. Both keep the view. We will show you the difference and the price on site.
